Population Mental Health Promotion – Signature Project
The six NCCs are collaborating on a Population Mental Health Promotion (PMHP) Signature Project with the objective of mobilizing public health knowledge on population mental health promotion for children and youth. The first phase of the project will culminate in the publication of a collection of synthesis documents to frame population mental health, the public health role, and provide a scan of key organizations and resources to support the work.
The aim of this project is to bring together the NCCs’ diverse expertise in order to translate knowledge that builds public health capacity to strengthen mental health development and well-being of younger Canadians. It will also support the development of multi-level, multi-component and intersectoral policies, programs and practices that can be applied to the breadth of public health domains/fields and disciplines.
This signature project builds on previous collaborative work led by the NCCHPP which can be accessed by visiting their project page for Population Mental Health. Stay tuned to this page for future updates!
